The reality is that most students and their supporters aren’t aware of all the financial aid that may be available to them, depending on their financial circumstances. In most cases, if your family income is under $85,000 a year before taxes, you qualify for *, which covers 100% of tuition and fees and offers $1,200 for books and supplies. If your family makes between $85,000 and $100,000, your tuition and fees may be reduced by up to half your out-of-pocket expenses.

In addition, starting in the fall of 2025, we’re introducing The Remarkable Salem State Difference. This initiative ensures free tuition and mandatory fees for in-state undergraduate day students with a family household income of $75,000 or less and demonstrated financial need.
